YouTube Videos Begin to Show Up in the Shorts Feed

With the addition of Posts to the Shorts stream, YouTube has given creators a new avenue to reach a wider audience.

According to YouTube, posts will now show up in the Shorts stream. Users may now view and engage with posts while viewing brief videos thanks to this modification.

How the Feature Operates

On YouTube, you can now view Posts while browsing through Shorts.
The layout maintains the same vertical aspect ratio, as seen in the screenshot below. The video shrinks as you browse, taking up half of the screen for posts.

Without pausing your video, you may like and comment on these posts.

Overview of YouTube Videos

Posting has been a part of YouTube’s creative toolkit for a long time. These posts may contain text updates, images, videos, GIFs, polls, quizzes, and other content from the channel owner.

Posts may be found on the creator’s channel in a dedicated area. Additionally, they may appear in the subscription feeds or on the homepages of subscribers.

Possible New Exposure

With this change, creators now have an additional method for posting to their YouTube audience.
Additionally, this enables producers to connect with Shorts viewers without producing vertical videos.

If your channel solely posts conventional long-form material, you might be able to get into the Shorts stream by posting pictures or text.

Looking Ahead

With this upgrade, YouTube is experimenting with fusing its most well-liked features with different kinds of content.
Given that Instagram and TikTok compete with YouTube by combining videos with various kinds of material, it’s plausible that YouTube is making this move. It may be possible to increase user engagement and extend users’ YouTube stays by combining different types of material.

For creators, this offers a new avenue for distribution with a very low entry fee. Nowadays, you may appear in the same stream as a fully-produced short if you write a text post.
YouTube has not made any announcements regarding the selection process or frequency of posts. It will be up to the creators to test how this affects visibility.
